This COVID-19 pandemic gonna be an apocalypse for some Zimdancehall artists fo sho.
I mean no touring revenue for the summer. Not even sure if you gonna be able to tour for the next year or two -- less music royalty payments coming in and barely selling any merchandise. It's tough for real.
It’s messed up bruh because touring is both Zimdancehall and Zim Hip Hop artist's main source of income. No festivals, no tours, and nothing in sight for the foreseeable future. BTW, oans laughed when a few artists got caught being taxi drivers and etc. Now you gonna see a lot more of that.
That COVID-19 Coronavirus is about to have all these oans scrambling out here. Oans show money has done dried up. I’m seeing a lot more Zim recording artists selling chamba and mushonga online.
Roughly speaking, 1 million streams = $9,000 dollars. But that money is going to your label, your distribution, then you, your team, your ngoma, and chinaira... etc.
