A young man died Monday when two vehicles crashed on a major road. The accident happened around noon near Hakagorogora Village on the Kabale-Kisoro Highway. A truck driver lost control at a sharp turn and hit a motorcycle coming from the other direction. The crash killed one person right away and hurt another badly. Police officers arrived quickly to help and investigate the incident.
Bruno Owomugisha was riding the red motorcycle when the truck hit him. The 24-year-old man from Muziku died at the crash site. His passenger, Augustin Tumwesigye, survived, but doctors had to treat his injuries at a local hospital. The 30-year-old man lives in Bugara Village near the accident location. Emergency workers took him away for medical care right after the crash.
Police officers from Rubanda station documented everything at the scene. They moved Bruno's body to Muko Health Center for examination.
