It's difficult to tell who is the richest because making money from live shows is one thing, but turning that money into wealth is another.
A recording artist can be paid good money for a show and spend that money recklessly on drugs and women while another artist can be paid peanuts but through investing they can make it worthwhile in the long run because investing is a marathon, not a 100m dash.
For those above-stated reasons, this is why I personally think that without going through the income statements and tax returns of these artists it is just mere speculation to say this artist has more money than that artist.
Do these artists even pay taxes to ZIMRA?
I really doubt that most of these artists are filing taxes from the money that they make from doing shows or from the income they earn from royalties after publishing their music videos to YouTube or when they upload their songs to Spotify, Deezer, Apple Music, and Amazon Music.
What about Winky D?
Obviously, Winky D is an accomplished recording artist but either way, how does one know what other Zimdancehall artists are doing with their money. They could be making investments quietly without showing off or anything, you know.
Come on now... Let's be realistic, name any artist that you think makes more money in the industry compared to Winky D.
Why are y’all worried about them artists' checks. Worry about your own bag because they damn sure ain’t worried bout y’all $400 USD per week check.
First of all, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
Secondly, it's a general topic which always comes up about who is the richest music artist in Zim each and every year.
The strange thing is many Zimdancehall songs don't have any conscious lyrical content.
It's mostly noise about sombonyo this and lula-lula that, notwithstanding there are a few coins still to be made in the midst of all that.
You stay hating on Zimdancehall music.

One more thing, the lyrical content isn't the only deciding factor that generates money for artists though. You aren't putting the beat or instrumental into perspective that's why.
